To gain the IC3 qualification/certification and the Tairawhiti Polytechnic Certificate in Internet and Computing Operation you must also pass the three external examinations mentioned below. These examinations can be accessed through the centre that you enrolled at. The examinations cost $45.00 each.

What is IC3?
Internet and Computing Core Certification (IC3) is an internationally recognised certification programme that validates your foundation computing and internet skills. An IC3 certificate provides clear proof to employers that you have the knowledge and skills to be a productive user of computer hardware, software and the internet. It is a truly globally recognised qualification, you can sit the three exams in any country and they will be the same. Your success is recorded on a world register and can be accessed from anywhere via the internet. The programme also provides a spring board for other certification programmes, for example Microsoft Office User Specialist and A+ certification.

Each course starts with a 2 hour introductory session. You complete the training online at your own pace, at your own place, via the Internet.
